Just in case you are wondering what is happening with the big trees in the Ffrith Community Park, we can report and welcome the work being undertaken by Denbighshire County Council DCC) and their contractor GSL in managing the trees.

Many of the high trees were growing at an angle and in danger of being blown down as we experienced in November 2021 during Storm Arwen. Some trees have been reduced in height to make them safe in areas where the public are passing by. We can confirm that no trees have been removed.

They also dealt with some of the tall trees at the rear of the bungalows on Ferguson Avenue following several reports by concerned residents. It might appear a bit brutal, but it was necessary in the interest of public health & safety and now was the right time to do it.

The work was carried under the supervision of Michelle Brown DCC Tree Specialist to whom we express our thanks.”
